Tennis
Today I played Tennis at 3:00 with my friend Alek Mammal (different Alek from my double major friend).
During the drive to the courts I autopiloted and took the highway to my college. I had to call him to say I'd be a little late. I brought some eggrolls to eat and I tried out strawberry flavored liquid IV. We finished at around 5:00.
House Cleaning
I skipped my usual after 5:00 Table Tennis practice, instead opting to clean the house in preparation for my older sister (Maya), who would soon be home from her snowboarding trip in Colorado. The house smelled kind of bad, probably from the trash. So I took that out first. Then I lit a scented candle, swept, washed dishes, and mopped.
Food Call
Beebee called me at ~7:30 to come over for curry while I was cleaning the downstairs. My mother called me soon after, also offering food. I chose to go over to Beebee's since I already accepted her offer.
When I went upstairs to leave, I saw Maya's snowboard leaning against the kitchen counter.
Beebee's Curry
Once I got to Beebee's house I saw her partner Binah, my cousin Joney, Elizza, and Elizza's son hanging out in the living room. Beebee made chicken curry and an Ube Vietnamese desert. The curry was okay, I didn't like the desert though. I stayed there till ~2:00AM hanging out and watching Physica:Aisa and a Netflix cooking show.
Writing Workflow
Then I came home. I don't exactly remember how I got from the car to where I am sitting right now. But I do know that once I got home I started writing for this blog.
Writing the content for this blog inside a .html file was really hindering me. So I decided to move to writing everything out in Markdown, with a rough draft first, final draft second. This will enable me to write much faster, even though I'm writing more words. There's less hesitation with writing, so I get the opportunity to pick and edit the many things I've written instead of struggling to write the blog via a constant micro rewriting and editing workflow.
Maybe I can mimic the way I write with the way I remember. I could create a ton of mnemonic images, sometimes multiple for each day, without worrying too much if they work. Then I can prune and organize them all later. As time passes I have foresight into how the events of each day fit into my life circumstances that I would not have in the past. So organizing the images into chunks later may be better than organizing them in the moment.
Mnemonic Image
The most memorable events today were Tennis at 3:00, cleaning the house in preparation for Maya coming home from her Colorado snowboarding trip, eating Curry and watching Physical:Asia and a cooking show at Beebee's house.
These events make an image of me smashing a trashbag filled with curry and Chipotle open with my Tennis racket. The contents spill all over Maya's pristine house. My arms are strained and veiny from the effort.
Each image element corresponds to the following memory:
- Smashing trash with Tennis racket - Playing Tennis at 3:00 and cleaning Maya's house
- Curry and Chipotle spilling all over the house - I tried out Beebee's curry after cleaning, my mother offered to buy me food (I often get Chipotle when she asks)
- I forgot to make my arms veiny, but you can image its there! - I watched physical:asia and the cooking show
